Coffee lover, coffee addict, coffeeholic – whatever you want to call it, this city is full of people who love their coffee! Lucky we also live in a city with a thriving coffee culture. No matter where you are in Toronto there is bound to be a coffee shop you’ll fall in love with. Be sure to check out these 5 coffee shops!

Dineen Coffee

Dineen Coffee Co

Dineen takes the cake when it comes to design. The marble floors, exposed brick walls, and velvet seating set the perfect atmosphere. The original location on Yonge and Temperance is a Heritage Property and a sight at that. This café is truly the perfect spot to catch up with friends and spend some time soaking up the Downtown Toronto culture from the patio. The coffee is wonderful and they have a full menu from drip coffee, lattes, iced teas, and full array of treats and sandwiches.

Versus

Versus Coffee

An Instagrammers dream! Minimalist design and colourful latte art, mixed with cozy, stay all day, feels. They have the best cold brew and almond milk lattes, which you have to ask for with colour added to take the best picture.  Coffee lovers often spend hours on end reading a book or catching up on work so thankfully they also have great food and some of the best avocado toast in the city. Fun fact: they also have a liquor license and a fun drink menu, so you can grab your coffee in the morning and head back for happy hour at the end of the day!

Barocco

Barocco Coffee

The Café is located inside Love Child Social – a new, member only, workspace and formally the Hoxton. Thankfully you do not need to be a member to come in and grab a cup of coffee! They have partnered with Barocco, a local roaster that has some of the best coffee I have had so far. Once you grab your coffee, you are steps from King West where you can mosey around the streets or go around the corner to Victoria Memorial Square Park to get one of the best views of the CN Tower.

White Squirrel

White Squirrel Coffee Shop

White Squirrel has the best location for a coffee spot in the city! Small in size, but big coffee taste.  The Americano is a must or we suggest the iced coffee and ice cream cone on a hot summer day. Make sure you also take a walk across the street to Trinity Bellwoods Park to see if you can spot the famous, but rare, white squirrels.

This hidden gem is a must on the coffee bucket list. They are tucked away in the west end but worth the adventure. Known for more than just their coffee, Tokyo Smoke provides a unique experience. Friendly staff and locals sitting outside early in the morning give this edgy coffee shop a charming and welcoming feel. They serve great coffee from de Mello Palheta and always have the most delicious baked goods.

Picking only 5 coffee shops was tough when Toronto has some of the most amazing coffee spots, so here are a few honourable mentions
